Le montage vid\u00e9o du film sera ajout\u00e9 \u00e0 notre Vid\u00e9oth\u00e8que du savoir sur le cancer du rein.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Stephen Pautler se joint \u00e0 nous \u00e0 la Journ\u00e9e mondiale du rein en compagnie de Deborah Grant, survivante du cancer du rein. Madame Grant est l\u2019une des patientes du Dr Pautler et partagera sa perspective en tant que patiente ayant subi une chirurgie assist\u00e9e par robot.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><em>\u00c0 noter : La 2<sup>e<\/sup> vague de la pand\u00e9mie a malheureusement retard\u00e9 le tournage des vid\u00e9os en fran\u00e7ais. Nous esp\u00e9rons r\u00e9p\u00e9ter cette exp\u00e9rience en fran\u00e7ais tr\u00e8s bient\u00f4t.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00c0 PROPOS DU DR STEPHEN PAUTLER, BSc, MD, FRCSC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-16919\" src=\"https:\/\/kidneycancercanada-beta.ubmepsilon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Urology-Pautler-2-682x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Dr. Stephen Pautler, Urologist\" width=\"300\" height=\"451\">Dr. Stephen Pautler attended the University of Waterloo and completed a Honours, Co-operative Chemistry degree. Dr. Pautler graduated from the University of Calgary medical school in 1995 and subsequently completed the urology residency at The University of Western Ontario (Western). He became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2000. Dr. Pautler spent two years at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland performing both clinical and basic science research in minimally invasive interventions for urologic cancers, before joining the staff at St. Joseph&rsquo;s Hospital (St. Joseph&rsquo;s Health Care, London) as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Surgery at Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western in July 2002. Dr. Pautler was cross-appointed to the Department of Oncology in 2005. He has co-authored more than 130 peer-reviewed articles, several chapters and has presented at numerous international urology meetings. His current interests include surgical robotics and urologic laparoscopy with the application of minimally-invasive surgical techniques and image-guided ablative procedures for urologic cancers. He is a Canadian expert in hereditary kidney cancer syndromes and is a member of the Kidney Cancer Research Network of Canada.\u00a0 Dr. Pautler has been one of the pioneers in surgical robotics in Canada and has a large experience with prostate and kidney surgery performed robotically.\u00a0 Dr. Pautler is the Southwest Regional Surgical Oncology Lead for CCO\/Ontario Health, as well as the Provincial Lead for Urology, Access to Care\/Ontario health.\u00a0 He has been the Director of the Endourology fellowship program and he participates in the Society of Urologic Oncology fellowship program at Western.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Research and interests \/ Specialization<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Research interests include:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Surgical robotics and urologic laparoscopy with the application of minimally-invasive surgical techniques<\/li>\n<li>Image-guided ablative procedures for urologic cancers<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>These research topics have encompassed big data analysis and surgical innovation work in collaboration with several groups at Western.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 Cancer du rein Canada a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 l\u2019avant-premi\u00e8re du film THE ROBOT le jeudi 11 mars \u00e0 la Journ\u00e9e mondiale du rein (pr\u00e9sentation en anglais).
